Healthy Lunch Idea.
As my husband prepared his yummyy lunch this morning, I thought it might be of interest to you what's on his menu! Today: Vegetable hummus wrap with an apple and raw almonds. I know this may not sound like a lot of food, but it keeps him focused and sustained until dinner time. So clearly it's plenty for a guy! Le'ts take a closer look at the wrap...
Vegetable hummus wrap:
1 Ezekiel Sprouted Grain Tortilla (no yeast, no added oil, no baking powder)
2 tablespoons hummus (traditional and homemade - if you want our recipe post a comment below!)
Large handful greens (mixed and spinach)
1/4 carrot, shredded
1 tablespoon hemp seeds
1/2 cup shredded red cabbage
This wrap was HUGE because of all the greens. The picture for this article was his actual wrap this morning - most people would think he's eating a salad there are so many veggies! Now, don't forget his two snacks: apple and raw almonds, which he eats whenever he needs the energy. Afterall, eating is about needing the energy, the fuel you need to keep you focused and energized during the day! To top all this off he hydrates well with water.
So, you going to give this a try next week?
Special note: all the food ingredients mentioned above is organic and/or locally grown.
